I have heard of this one before. It’s something of urban legend though it is half-true so to speak. This incident DID happen, but many parts are conveniently left out:

-The two men, while illegals, were hobos sleeping on the roof, not burglars. Sleeping bags, toothpaste, soap, an cooked food were found up there.
-It is NOT correct procedure to set a dog on a suspect who is “going to flee.” Perhaps if they are already running away and too far to be caught by foot pursuit, but normally an officer can only set a dog for defensive reasons if the person is attacking the officer or another person.
-Mohr had been sued and lost 4 times prior to this for improperly setting her dog on people.

Does this make her conviction justified? I don’t know, it is a difficult thing to balance.

Reminiscent of OJ’s acquittal in that juries sometimes make dreadful mistakes. Also, politically correct liberals oftentimes promote some really dangerous causes. Keep fighting the good fight. Retired peace officer.

She was convicted by a jury of her peers. Hopefully she will serve her entire time behind bars. Just because she was a cop doesnt mean she should receive special treatment from any court.
