Can someone please explain why there is such a dramatic difference with the Federal drug law reguarding?
jail time sentences having to do with cocaine. Why is it that 5 grams of so called Crack-Cocaine carries the same amount of jail time as equal to 500 Grams of powder Cocaine. That is a huge difference in amounts when the only really difference in the two drugs is that the Crack has baking soda added to it in the cooking process. Seems to me the only reason this law is the way it is, is because black people are usually the ones selling the crack cocaine and carring quanties on them at times. and the rich white people are the ones doing the powder cocaine. Just another one sided law in this joke of a legal system we have. As long as u are rich,powerful, or famous u can get away with anything. And this has been proved time and time again. While all the poor people sit and rott in jail. And dont even start on the drug war what a joke. People in this country love drugs whether legal or illlegal. U know how many violent offenders are let out of jail early to make room for drugoffenders
